Éric Stocker is a master in lacquer, gilding and polychromy who has worked for French National Museums and the Mobilier National, where the standards for craft and conservation are very high. He learned his craft through a traditional apprenticeship and has decades of experience restoring historic interiors and sacred objects.
Since the late 1990s, he has been based in Cambodia, where he built a workshop that combines European museum know-how with Khmer lacquer traditions and trains local artisans. The memorial urns are created in this same context, with the same level of care and respect as museum-quality objects.
